3 handy iPhone features you may not know

iOS comes with many settings and features that make using your iPhone more convenient and enjoyable. Here are three to check out.

Use gestures to edit text

Use onscreen gestures to undo, redo, copy, cut and paste your text. These shortcuts should save you some time when you’re typing an email or taking notes.

• Undo: Three-finger swipe left or three-finger double tap

• Redo: Three-finger swipe right

• Copy: Three-finger pinch inwards

• Cut: Three-finger double pinch inwards

• Paste: Three-finger pinch outwards

Use the onscreen keyboard as a trackpad

Use the iPhone’s onscreen keyboard as a trackpad to move your cursor around for more seamless typing and editing.

1. Long press firmly (Haptic Touch/3D Touch) on any key on your keyboard. All the keys will grey out.

2. Swipe your finger across the keyboard to move your cursor around the text field and stop where you need the cursor.

3. Resume editing.

Take full-page, scrolling screenshots

Take full page screenshots of webpages in Safari and save them as PDFs—no more painstakingly stitching together separate screenshots.

1. Open the Safari app and go to the page you wish to capture.

2. On phone with Face ID, take a screenshot by pressing the Side Button and the Volume Up button at the same time then quickly releasing them.

3. On phones without Face ID, take a screenshot by pressing the Side button and the Home button at the same time then quickly releasing them.

4. Tap on the preview that appears on the bottom left of your screen.

5. In the preview page, you’ll see an option for Full Page.

6. Tap on it to see the full page screenshot and save or share it.
