Matthew Brown, Managing Director ANZ
Matt is a long time student of and contributor to the Mobile Technology sector, having spent 25 years with global leaders and innovators. His business leadership has been built in companies specializing in financial services, supply chain & operations, and mobile devices.
As Managing Director, Matt is charged with leadership of the Asurion’s Australia and New Zealand markets.
Dipali Phillips, Finance Director, ANZ
Dipali joined Asurion in 2018 as Financial Controller for the ANZ business and was appointed as the Finance Director in February 2019. Prior to joining Ausrion, Dipali had 20 years of finance experience in FMCG industries for large multinationals such as Diageo and Unilever.
During her 14 years in Diageo, she has built up her finance experience across Planning & Reporting, Commercial Finance, Financial Control and Operational Finance.
Ashley Ferris, Head of HR, ANZ
Ashley is a seasoned HR practioner with over 10 years generalist experience partnering with groups across APAC, UK and US. He has a Bachelor of Honours Degree in Business Studies, specialising in Human Resource Management and is a MBTI Accredited Practioner. Ashley is a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) and is an active volunteer in the AHRI mentoring program.
Ashley leads the HR function across our sites in ANZ and is also part of the APAC HR Leadership team.
Warren Hayward SCM Geo Lead, ANZ
Warren joined Asurion in 2017 and leads the Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Operations organizations in delivering service excellence. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in Logistics and Supply Chain environments across industries such as Information Technology Services, Electronics & Imaging Products, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices & Retail, Warren has a history of leading teams through change and driving world class continuous improvement establishing clear communication and driving decisive action. Warren has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University.
Nick Cross, Director, Client Solutions ANZ
Nick has 20 years of telecommunications carrier experience through consumer retail, customer experience, commercial management and operations with Telstra and British Telecom. He has a passion for designing and delivering innovation in the device services space.
As Client Solutions Director, Nick is focused on unlocking strategic outcomes to Australian and new Zealand clients with customised suites of Asurion’s market global best capability.
Gino Casha, Director, Business Development & Sales ANZ
As Director of Business development and Sales ANZ, Gino has broad responsibilities for all aspects of building future business and fostering long term relationships amongst current and new clients. Gino is also responsible for driving sales growth for our clients via leadership of the Asurion retail team and areas of value creation including strategy and execution.
Gino joined Asurion with 18 years’ experience within the ICT industry with OEM’s such as SonyEricsson, Samsung Mobile and LG electronics, having held Director roles within sales, marketing, retail and customer experience.
Jesper Hovrell, Director, Customer Experience ANZ
Jesper joined Asurion in 2017 after 7 years as a General Manager within Product Management & Innovation at Telstra. With 20 years in the Telecommunication Industry across Australia, France, UK and Denmark, he’s worked in both large established organisations as well as in new innovative businesses. At Asurion, Jesper oversees Customer Solutions Operations where his main focus and passion is delivering an excellent customer experience on behalf of all our partner clients. He has a Master’s of Business Studies and Economics from Linnaeus University in Sweden.
Kate Hardy, General Counsel, ANZ
Kate joined Asurion in 2019 as Director of Legal for Asurion’s ANZ Business. Kate has 15 years of experience as a commercial lawyer in Melbourne and London having provided legal support to multinational corporations across a range of industries including financial services and insurance. She has acted for Lloyds Banking Group in London and was the Head of Legal and Chief Risk Officer for The Warranty Group (now Assurant) in Australia. She has a bachelor of laws (Honours) and bachelor of commerce degree (Economics Major) from Deakin University in Melbourne.
Soumya Nair, Senior Project Manager, APAC Core Platforms
Soumya has over 15+ years in IT project delivery, majority of which has been in banking industry. She started out in IT as a Business analyst and ventured into Project & Change Management for Financial markets at Standard Chartered, Singapore. She joined Asurion as a Regional project manager managing core platforms application delivery in 2014 and took up APAC Senior IT manager role in 2017, managing AWS Cloud Transformation-Horizon platform delivery for Asurion products across APAC.
Soumya’s core focus is to enable digitization and improved automation of repetitive and redundant contact centre operations by using advanced technologies.
Jim Flautt, CEO APAC
As Chief Executive Officer Asia Pacific, Jim is responsible for all facets of Asurion's APAC operations. Since joining Asurion in 2002, Jim has held a number of roles including leading Asurion's supply chain management operations, program management team as well as product management and product marketing teams for Asurion's handset insurance, warranty management and roadside assistance businesses. Before joining Asurion, Jim worked at DigitalThink, Mckinsey and Co. and served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the United States Naval Academy, Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Philosophy from Cambridge University and an MBA from Stanford University.
Grant Perrin, CEO SouthEast Asia, Australia and Taiwan
Grant joined Asurion in 2013 and is responsible for Asurion’s Asia Pacific Supply Chain and Customer Solutions teams, as well as leading the SouthEast Asia, Australia and Taiwan businesses as CEO. Grant has over 25 years’ experience in the global mobile telecommunications industry and has worked at OEMs, carriers and service providers including Nokia and Teleplan. During his 16 years at Nokia, he led the Global Customer Service and Repair Operations as well as numerous other regional and global operational roles across the world. Having lived and worked in APAC for over 15 years, he has a deep understanding of the markets in which we operate.
Craig Horneman, CFO APAC
Craig was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Asurion APAC in February 2017. Previously CFO of Asurion Australia for four years, he was instrumental in evolving the Australian business by supporting the business strategically, commercially and operationally. Prior to joining Asurion, Craig had over 20 years experience in the financial services(Insurance) and IT industries for large multinational organizations such as HP, in finance, operational and commercial related roles. Before joining Asurion, Craig was Head of Finance and CFO for the Retails Life Business at TAL (formerly TOWER Australia). Prior to that Craig was the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Genworth Financial Australia.
Alexander Cuthbert, CIO APAC
As Chief Information Officer, Alex leads all IT work which requires managing systems and data centres that run Asurion’s core products and internal systems across all APAC countries. Alex has over 20 years IT systems delivery experience and prior to joining Asurion, he has held senior roles specialising in IT Integration for Standard Chartered Banks Global Financial Markets and Accenture’s Financial Services Consulting practice. Alex holds a Bachelors (Honours) Degree in Information Systems from the University of Leeds, UK.
Chris Hignett, VP Commercial Development APAC
Chris has been with Asurion since 2013, previously overseeing the launch of new programs, operations and business intelligence throughout APAC and more recently leading the Product and Business Development teams. Chris also leads the Hong Kong team. Prior to joining Asurion, Chris held senior roles in customer operations, sales and marketing within the general insurance, telecommunications and subscription entertainment industries. Now leading the commercial development function, Chris and his team support the local business partners with business development, product development, commercial finance and retail execution.
Ciaron Murphy, VP Human Resources Asia
Ciaron has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications, insurance and professional services sectors. During his career, he has worked in Finland, Japan, Germany, India, Singapore and Hong Kong in a variety of domestic, regional and global HR roles. Ciaron brings a broad spectrum of experience to Asurion and as Vice President, Human Resources – Asia, is accountable for designing, building and delivering all Human Capital solutions across Asia.
Arran Broadbent, VP Product
Arran leads our Product organization and is responsible for creating and owning the product vision and strategy, bringing to market new products and services for our partners. Arran joined Asurion in 2013 and has held a number of roles including Product Launch, Customer Growth and Head of Product, Korea, where he served as an instrumental leader in evolving the Korea business. Arran has over 15 years’ experience in the telecoms industry having worked at Telcos and in Professional Services prior to joining Asurion. During his career he has worked and lived in the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea with roles encompassing local, regional and global leadership responsibilities. Arran holds a Bachelor’s (Honours) Degree in Entrepreneurship in Technology, IT and Business from the University of Surrey.
Mark Allan, VP Operations
Mark joined Asurion in 2009 and leads our Supply Chain and Customer Solutions Operations in the APAC region. He is responsible for working across multiple countries and clients to deliver a best-in-class customer experience while designing the future operating model. Prior to his current role, he led more than 4,000 individuals in the Repair Operations, Procurement, Engineering and Quality organizations in North America, Asia, the European Union and Latin America. This included being responsible for management of our Global OEM relationships, as well as providing the engineering innovation and improvements that support the supply chain delivery of a high-quality Same Unit Repair product. Mark began his career in radar and communications in the Royal Air Force, after which he led manufacturing, design, test and reliability functions through the early years of the cellphone industry with Motorola, Nokia and Tekmar Systemi across Europe, Asia and Americas. He earned a Bachelor of Science with honors in electronic engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University and is also a qualified and practiced Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt.
