Design and Display
While it does not feature an OLED screen, the iPhone XR sports an LCD Liquid Retina display which offers colourful and sharp images. Compared to the XS, The iPhone XR has a slightly thicker design with larger bezels around the side of the phone. The XR, though, boasts a larger 6.1” screen as compared to the 5.8” screen on the iPhone XS.
The all-screen design bids goodbye to the Home button. It instead adopts a notch and the TrueDepth camera system for Face ID. What you get is a screen that is as large as the one on an iPhone 7 Plus or 8 Plus, minus the older form factor.
Camera
The XR only features one back camera and one front camera. Despite the lack of a second telephoto lens, the iPhone XR’s camera is decent. This means that the XR doesn’t have the Studio Light and Studio Light Mono effects.
But with 2x faster autofocusing as well as optical image stabilisation, you will still be able to get clear and vibrant shots throughout the day.
Battery
The XR is fitted with a 2,942 mAh battery. While it is not the largest battery among Apple’s iPhones, the iPhone XR has a long battery life that offers up to 25 hours of talk time, up to 15 hours of internet use, up to 16 hours of video playback, and up to 65 hours of audio playback. The iPhone XR is also fast-charge capable and supports wireless charging.
Value for Money
Featuring a 6.1-inch LCD, a 12-megapixel single-lens rear camera, and an A12 chip, the iPhone XR is a practical and affordable phone for all. With the introduction of the new iPhones, the XR price has dropped further, making it great value for money.
